Yes, you read that right! This girl is heading to INDIA! 🇮🇳 😀

After spending a few days in Amsterdam, I’ll be flying into New Delhi. (flights were cheaper from Amsterdam than from Barcelona) Once in New Delhi, I’ll be going on a DIY trip through the Golden Triangle. The Golden Triangle includes stops New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Agra is the home base for the Taj Mahal and Jaipur is known as, “the pink city” for its beautiful rose-colored buildings.

Additionally, I will be traveling to Varanasi, which is an important religious site in India, as well as, Ranthambore National Park, which is one of the best places in the country to go on a tiger safari. 🐯

To travel around India I will be using a combination of trains, buses, and an internal flight. I have booked a variety of accommodation, including well-reviewed hostels, and more luxurious hotels, which are still very cheap by my standards.

Anyway, this journey will take two weeks in total, and will also be one of the craziest backpacking trips I’ll go on, so stay tuned to hear all about it. 😀
Side note: to travel to India as an American, one must apply for an Indian visa through this website. It can take up for three days for the visa to be approved.
wow good for you! I have always wanted to go to india, especially to try their food! But now when I actually do I can use your blog as my reference! 🙂

Hi Megan, do experience the sunset visit of Taj Mahal from riverside at Mehtab Bagh. As Ranthambore national park has different routes for park visit so try to go in to zone no 1 to 5. These zones are having good opportunity of tiger sighting. India is unique and you will love this incredible country. Happy journey
