My mom has been coloring my hair for my whole life. She is a beautician, so she is obviously more than qualified. After 2 months in Mexico, I was overdue for a touch-up. I had procrastinated long enough.
I stopped by the grocery store and picked up a box hair dye kit for around $4.75. The instructions were also in Spanish. This might be the scariest thing I have done in Mexico so far. Hah.Of course, I did not tackle this on my own. I consulted mom via Google Hangouts.:D
I began by testing out a small piece of hair to make sure I didn’t react to the product. After, I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and began applying the product.
My mom told me to leave it on for twice as long as the box told me to. I took in ALL of her advice. Sure mom, I’ll wear a plastic bag on my head. Whatever you say. 😛 Hah.
After 40 minutes, I mixed the last portion of the product with shampoo and applied it to my whole head. After 5 minutes, I went to rinse it off. I applied the half of the provided conditioner and will apply the rest in two weeks per the instructions. I was very nervous to get out of the shower and look in the mirror, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. 😀
Thanks, mom. You rock! 😀
